Body Being Brought Here — The remains of the late Rev. N.C. Peirce, late of Rockaway, are to be brought to Corvallis from Portland where death occurred yesterday, and the funeral will be held from the Madison Street Methodist church at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon. Rev. Pendleton of Tangent will come to Corvallis to officiate at the service. Rev. Peirce was the father of several sons and daughters, including Mrs. D.E. Eckers of Corvallis and George Peirce of Alpine. He was formerly in charge of the M.E. church South in Alsea, and had preached in Benton county several years. Burial is to be in Newton cemetery.

Funeral Here Today — The funeral for the late Rev. N.C. Peirce of Rockaway, who died recently in Portland, was held from the Madison street Methodist church at 2 o’clock this afternoon. Rev. Pendleton of Tangent officiated at the service and a number of friends paid tribute to the memory of the deceased. Interment was in Newton cemetery. The remains of the late Rev. Peirce were brought here this morning from Pendleton, relatives accompanying the body to this city.
