Aged Resident Passes—Mrs. Melissa Henkle, who would have celebrated her 70th birthday anniversary had she lived until the 21st of the month, passed away very suddenly yesterday afternoon at her home, 526 north Fourth street. Mrs. Henkle was apparently in the best of health yesterday morning and her sudden demise came as a surprise and shock to her. (She) was born in Oregon, had spent practically all of her life in this state and during the past 13 years had made her home in Corvallis. She is survived by three sons and two daughters, S. S. Henkle of Corvallis, John of Portland, James of Grass Valley, Mrs. Anna Spangler of Clatskanie, and Mrs. Minnie Brackett of The Dalles. All of the children are expected here for the funeral and until their arrival no arrangements for the service will be made.
