L.F. Watkins Crossed the Plains When a Boy and Had Lived on the Family Place for 36 Years.

Philomath, Or., March 27 — L.F. Watkins died at his home here Tuesday. He was born in Massachusetts May 3, 1837. In 1853 he came across the plains to Josephine county, Oregon. He was married there in 1862. He moved his family to Philomath 36 years ago, and has since made his home here.

Mr. Watkins is survived by his wife and five children, Ralph, Stanley and Owen, all of Philomath; Mrs. Emma Davis of Blodgett, Or., and Frank Watkins of Lake county, Oregon.
