Mrs. Thomas Crail, an aged lady who had resided at Philomath for many years, died suddenly Saturday evening at her home at that place, death resulting from heart failure. The funeral was held at Philomath at 2:30 this afternoon, with interment in Newton cemetery. The deceased is survived by her husband and several children, among them being Marion Crail of Corvallis. Mrs. Crail was widely known at Philomath and there is sincere sorrow at her demise.

Editor’s note: According to Mrs. Crail’s certificate of death, she was born Oct. 19, 1845, to John Michael Crail and Hannah Clark in Indiana. She died July 31, 1915, at age 69. The cause of death was listed as organic heart disease.
