OBITUARY.
Mr. Isaac Meats, born in Marsh Parish Herefordshire Old England, was married to Elizabeth Lawford April 27 1837, emigrated to America in 1842, settling in Brown county Ill., in 1867, moved to Woodson county, shortly after settling there he became a member of the M. E. church of Neosho Falls Kansas, remaining a consistent member of the same until death. Living there until June 1884. On account of failing health, he with his wife and daughter came to the Pacific Coast, visiting a few months in California thence to Benton county Oregon, finally settling in Philomath where he had lived a little over four months when he suddenly taken by the reaper death. Dying of paralysis of the heart. Leaves an aged wife six sons and one daughter, to mourn his loss.
