Resident of Philomath Passes — George Vicary, resident of Philomath, died at the Corvallis General hospital about 1:30 this afternoon. Mr. Vicary had been ill several weeks and was brought to the local hospital from Philomath a week ago. While no arrangements for the funeral have as yet been made, it is expected the body will be taken back to the home. A son of the deceased is employed on the new Benton Hotel.

Funeral Saturday Afternoon — The funeral of the late George Vicary, resident of Philomath, who died Tuesday afternoon at the Corvallis hospital, is to be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock, from Bovee’s chapel. Rev. J.D. Nisewonder of Philomath will officiate and interment will be in Newton cemetery. The funeral is being delayed that relatives from the East may arrive here for the service.

The funeral services of the late George Vilary (Vilcary) were held from Bovee’s parlors in Corvallis on Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Mr. Vicary passed away at the Corvallis General hospital at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon following a long illness, having been removed from his home here to the hospital last week. The deceased had made his home in Philomath for the past five years, moving here with his family from Montana. He is survived by his widow and eight children; Mrs. F.E. Brady of Selma, Calif.; Mrs. J.T. Lawrence and Elvin Vicary of Butte, Montana; G.A. Vicary of Portland, Ore.; Walter Vicary of Casper, Wyo.; John Vicary of Marshfield, Ore.; and Edgar Vicary of this city. All the children were present at the funeral.
