George Anderson, the aged gentleman who was found unconscious and starving at a point beyond Philomath a week or two ago, and who was picked up by passersby and brought to Corvallis, is now at the local hospital convalescing from his recent illness. Mr. Anderson is between 70 and 80 years of age and quite feeble, but is gaining flesh and strength and doubtless will soon be quite lively.

George Anderson, aged 77, died at the Corvallis hospital yesterday as a result of old age and privation. Though worth thousands, he lived on a piece of ground beyond Philomath and practically starved to death. The burial was held at 2 o’clock today from Bovee’s undertaking parlors, Rev. Hubbell officiating. It is said his property will revert to the county.
