Mrs. Eliza McGauhey died at 5 o’clock this morning at the home of her son, C.S. McGauhey, 2856 Van Buren street. Mrs. McGauhey was a native daughter of North Carolina where she was born February 20, 1845. She was aged 79 years and 3 months. There are several children.

The funeral will take place from Bovee’s undertaking parlors at 10 o’clock Monday morning. Rev. A.P. Layton of the Evangelical church will officiate and interment will be in Newton cemetery.
