PHILOMATH MAN
PASSES AWAY

D.W. Mael, an aged and very highly respected citizen of Philomath, died Thursday after a long illness of cancer of the stomach. The funeral was held today, the burial being made in Newton cemetery, undertaker Bovee making the trip. Mr. Mael was a retired farmer well and favorably known throughout the county.

At his home in Philomath Thursday, March 3, 1910, at three o’clock, D.W. Mael, an old resident of our city, died of cancer of the stomach. The funeral services were held at the First U.B. church Friday at 2:30 o’clock. Interment was made in the Newton cemetery.
