Goben Funeral Tuesday — Plymouth church was too small for the throng of friends who gathered there Tuesday afternoon to attend the funeral of the late Allen Franklin Goben, 20-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Goben, who died at the Anderson surgery Sunday, following a rather extended illness.
Rev. Daniel Bryant, of whose church young Goben was a member, officiated at the service held at 2 o’clock and spoke briefly of the life of the young man and his fight to overcome both physical and spiritual conflicts. Quantities of beautiful flowers were sent by friends and more than 45 cars were in the procession to Newton cemetery where interment was made.
Deceased is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Goben, one brother, Kenneth Goben, and his grandmother, Mrs. M.E. Lane.
