Funeral in Corvallis — The funeral of the late Alexander Rankin, who passed away Saturday afternoon at his home in Philomath, was held at 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon from Bovee’s funeral parlors, Rev. Henderson of Philomath officiating. Interment was in Newton cemetery. Mr. Rankin was 82 years of age, had never married, and for a number of years had made his home with an aged sister, now past 90 years of age.
