The Philomath City Council plans to meet at 6 p.m. Monday to discuss two issues related to Marys River Park.

The council’s agenda includes an update on water reservoir and streetscape project impacts on the park. Concerns were recently raised about the location of the new water reservoir in the northwest corner of the park and a stormwater tract under consideration for the streetscape project, also within the park.

Also on the agenda is a request to change the formal name of the park to Marys River Park and Natural Area.

The council plans to adjourn into executive session following the meeting for the purpose of “evaluations of public officers and employees.”
