The Philomath City Council will vote on the 2025-26 fiscal year budget to highlight public meetings for the week of June 23-27.
The Inclusivity Committee, meanwhile, plans to review a councilor’s suggested revision to the city’s inclusivity proclamation.
In addition to those city meetings, the Philomath School District will continue its licensed bargaining talks and the Benton County Historic Resources Commission plans to meet. Here’s a full rundown:
Monday, June 23
- The Philomath City Council plans to meet at 7 p.m. at Philomath City Hall (980 Applegate St.) with two public hearings on the agenda — proposed uses for state revenue sharing and the fiscal year 2025-26 city budget. Following the public hearings, the council will vote on related resolutions. The Philomath Urban Renewal Agency is also scheduled to hold a public hearing and vote on adopting its 2025-26 budget. Tuesday, June 24
- The Philomath Inclusivity Committee plans to meet at 5:30 p.m. at Philomath City Hall (980 Applegate St.) for an agenda that includes a possible revision to the city’s inclusivity proclamation, reviews of social media posts for Independence Day and Senior Citizen’s Day, updates on an Age Friendly Communities event and a Recognition and Awareness Calendar, and a discussion on National Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month. - The Philomath School District has a licensed bargaining meeting on its calendar for 2:30-4:30 p.m. at Philomath Elementary School (239 S. 16th St.) in the library. The district and the teachers’ union are going through the process of bargaining a new agreement.
Wednesday, June 25
