The Philomath Lions Club’s three-day book sale returns to the Philomath Frolic & Rodeo Grounds at Skirvin Park July 14-16. The sale runs from noon-6 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and noon-4 p.m. Saturday.
Items are typically priced from 75 cents to $2 and for those looking for even better deals, Saturday’s session features the $4 per bag sale (the Lions Club provides the bag). The event features a wide variety of books that have been collected over the past year.
The book sale has traditionally served as the Lions Club’s biggest fundraiser of the year and represents one of the larger sales in the region.
Proceeds from the sale are used to support the organization’s various causes, including college textbook scholarships that are awarded to Philomath High School students each spring.
