Line dancing and bluegrass music will take over Marys River Grange Hall this month — but not on the same evening.

First up on Friday will be country line dancing from 7-10 p.m. with deejay Luke Coomer. Event organizer Yvonne McMillan said dancers at any level from beginner to advanced are welcome. Concessions will be available.

The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for 18 and under.

Next week on April 12, the monthly bluegrass workshop and jam will run from 7-10 p.m. The event features 30 minutes of instruction and 2-1/2 hours of jamming. The cost is $7 for adults and $5 for 18 and under. Those only listening can donate as desired, McMillan said.

McMillan also reported that the May 10 bluegrass event will feature Jim Faddis and Dale Adkins — both noteworthy musicians in the genre who started performing together earlier this year as the F&A duo.

The tickets for the May 10 show and jam will be $10 for adults and $7 for 18 and under.

Marys River Grange Hall is located at 24707 Grange Hall Road in Philomath.
