To the Editor:
I have personally been involved with all things “Philomath” from the time I was a child. I was raised on College Street, walking to and from elementary school. I went all the way through our school system and then, based on my love of this small town, raised both of my own children here. There is something so special about a small town — not just the familiarity of the faces or the local shops, but the absolute definition of community.
Today I am writing a special “thank you” to businesses and local friends who have stepped up in a big way to support this year’s senior high school students. Each year, Philomath parents of seniors throw a giant party to celebrate their achievements and the end of an era. This is a group effort, to say the least. Please help me recognize an incredible list of businesses and individuals that gave a cash donation, food donation or prizes to help with this year’s senior all-night party.
We truly are so appreciative of the wonderful support.

A special thank you also to Pacific Power for hanging the graduation banners throughout town — I am forever grateful for our amazingly generous community.
