Local law-enforcement agencies appeared to have a fairly uneventful week based on the Philomath Police Department’s call log and Philomath-related items published online in the Benton County Sheriff’s Office’s activity log.
A few local theft cases were reported. On Nov. 21, a resident on Woods Creek Road reported to the BCSO that the previous week, he had discovered that $400 worth of guidelines, cables and turnbuckles had been stolen.
Philomath Police responded to a report of theft on Nov. 21 at a Main Street business but a “third party” came in and paid. On Nov. 22, a man left a gas station without paying for $30 in fuel.
