• BCSO: Suspicious subjects, 12:36 a.m., 24700 block of Highway 34; deputies responded to a possible burglary in progress at Miller Timber reportedly involving two men who had picked the front gate and gone near a maintenance building; deputies with K-9 tracked the suspects several hundred yards to a landing near Marys River where it was determined the men were wildland firefighters who had permission to camp on the property.
• BCSO: Eluding, 7:06 p.m., Highway 20/34; a motorcyclist that refused to stop at the 20/34 intersection accelerated at a high rate of speed on Applegate Street through Philomath; a report stated that with a passenger on the bike and environmental conditions that were not conducive to a pursuit, the deputy chose to turn off emergency lights and lost sight of the motorcycle.
