• BCSO: Suspicious circumstance, 10:45 a.m., 34000 block of Marys River Estates Road; deputies responded to a report from a resident who noticed a small area of his firewood pile had been charred and burned.

• BCSO: Crash, 3:35 p.m., Harris Road near milepost 5; deputies responded to a vehicle that crashed and was on its side; no injuries reported.

• BCSO: Warrant arrest, 11:30 p.m., Kings Valley Highway near milepost 25; deputies arrested a 52-year-old Philomath man on a warrant out of Linn County for contempt of court and was issued citations for failure to carry or present a license, driving while suspended, driving uninsured and failing to register his vehicle; the man was issued citations in lieu of custody.

SATURDAY, AUG. 27

• BCSO: Criminal mischief, 12:36 a.m., Highway 180 and Atticus Lane, Blodgett; deputies responded to a report that the road sign for Atticus Lane had been cut down by a saw. The county’s road department was notified to install a replacement sign.

• BCSO: Criminal trespass, 7:35 a.m., Kings Valley Highway and Cardwell Hill Drive; deputies responded to a report of transients from Marion County reportedly on their way to the coast camping on private property; deputies arrested a 61-year-old Keizer woman on misdemeanor charges of reckless burning and second-degree criminal trespass; the woman was cited in lieu of custody.

• PPD: Warrant arrest, 10:12 p.m., South 19th Street and Ash Street; police arrested a 34-year-old Corvallis man on a warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation.

• BCSO: Criminal mischief, 4:21 p.m., Highway 34 and Decker Road; deputies took a report of third-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief/vandalism related to vandalism at a flower stand.

• BCSO: Warrant arrest, 6:22 p.m., North 20th Street and College Street; deputies arrested a 35-year-old Philomath man on a warrant for contempt of court and a misdemeanor tampering with evidence charge; the man was also cited for possessing a violation amount of methamphetamine and reissued a criminal citation for giving false information about liability insurance.
