The Philomath Area Chamber of Commerce’s Trunk or Treat event is scheduled to run from 3-5 p.m. on the afternoon of Halloween.

Businesses and organizations with decorated vehicles will be set up on Main Street between 12th and 17th streets and also in the Philomath Museum parking lot. Kids (and adults) should wear their costumes. There is no admission and will be held rain or shine. The museum will be open during the event, which includes the use of restrooms.

Beyond candy collecting and enjoying all of the costumes, participants will almost certainly find some other surprises along the route to put attendees in the Halloween spirit.

Philomath’s Trunk or Treat event is in its 14th year with the chamber of commerce taking it over in 2015 from the Philomath Downtown Association, which started it in 2011. It typically takes place every year on Halloween day after school.
