The Oregon Equestrian Trails Mid-Valley Chapter will host the 24th annual Jokers Wild Poker Ride this coming Sunday at the TE Ranch near Philomath.
The June 30 event is open to all and serves as a fundraiser for the organization to keep its tool trailer in top condition for supporting trail projects and helps cover the cost of materials for trail work and horse camp maintenance.
The first rider will go out at 9 a.m., the last at noon. Awards will follow at 2:30 p.m. The ride lasts two to four hours and goes over hills and through creeks.
The cost is $10 per hand or three for $20 — there is a minimum of one hand per rider; riders younger than 13 can ride free. Those under 18 need a parent or guardian signature to participate. Dogs are not allowed.
Organizers said they have great prizes to offer with the top hands picking first and then drawing for the rest. There will also be a 50-50 raffle.
Food will be available for purchase from J&C BBQ and Catering.
To find the TE Ranch, head north out of Philomath on North Ninth Street and take a left on Heritage Hills Road. Then follow the signs to the event.
