The Independent Community Club plans to host its annual potluck on Sunday, Oct. 20 at the organization’s historic schoolhouse on the corner of Fern Road and Airport Avenue. The community is invited to the event, which begins at 3 p.m.

ICC members will provide barbecue brisket and smoked pork and some side dishes but those planning to attend can add to the meal with a potluck item to share. Water will be available to drink, otherwise, attendees may also want to bring their own beverages.

In addition, folks planning to attend are encouraged to bring their own table setting, if possible — a plate, utensils and a cup. The club will have disposable options available as well.

The afternoon will also include the ICC’s annual board meeting. All members and prospective members are invited to sit in on the meeting, which will include updates on club activities and plans for the future.
