Grave marker for Joseph Davis
The nearly century-old grave marker for Joseph Davis is difficult to read. His obituary reported his age at 71 but based on dates, he would’ve actually been six days shy of his 71st birthday. A death certificate for Mr. Davis posted on FindAGrave.com shows that the cause of death was influenza. (Photo by Brad Fuqua/Philomath News)
