BCSO releases names of victims, additional information on Highway 20 crash

A head-on collision on Highway 20 late Saturday morning claimed at least two lives with several others seriously injured, according to sources that responded to the scene.
The crash occurred at around 11 a.m. in an area about 2-1/2 miles east of Burnt Woods and 4-1/2 miles west of Blodgett. The Benton County Sheriff’s Office did not provide details and reported that it will release information once a preliminary investigation has been completed and next of kin notified.
Highway 20 was closed for several hours after the crash with the Oregon Department of Transportation reporting that a detour had been set up in the Blodgett Store vicinity.
