The Philomath Frolic & Rodeo will be hosting Casino Night on Saturday evening as a follow-up fun event for the community after last month’s traditional celebration.

The event for all ages runs from 7-10 p.m. Aug. 13 at the Yew Wood Corral on the Philomath Frolic & Rodeo grounds. Casino Night features free entry and starting money.

“The Frolic & Rodeo Board of Directors wants to thank our sponsors, volunteers and the entire Philomath community for another great year at the Frolic,” the organizers said on its Facebook page.

Professional card dealers will be set up at poker and blackjack tables, craps and roulette. At the end of the night, players will exchange their chips for raffle tickets. The more chips won, the more raffle tickets received to increase the chances of winning a prize.

In addition to the traditional casino-style games, there will also be bunco tables, Farkle and other games for all ages, organizers said.

Vinwood Taphouse and Marcotte Distillery will be selling beverages and 541MudOven will be serving pizza out of its wood-fired oven.

Organizers said a cowboy boot will be circulating throughout the night for anyone who wants to contribute toward the construction of new grandstands.
