Two seniors, a sophomore and a freshman received all-Oregon West Conference recognition for the Philomath High School softball program.

Sophomore Ahnika Tryon, senior Kyla Berger and senior Mackenzie Hiner were named to the all-conference second team.

Tryon, who received the honor as an infielder, hit .259 with four doubles, two home runs and 12 RBIs this season. Berger, who made it as an outfielder, finished with a .231 average with two doubles, six RBIs and 13 walks. Hiner, pitcher, had a 4.34 earned run average with 24 strikeouts in 30-2/3 innings pitched. She also had a home run and seven RBIs at the plate.

Freshman Jenae Traglia was included on the team as an honorable mention selection at catcher. Traglia hit .209 with two doubles and 13 walks.

Cascade swept the individual honors with Player of the Year in sophomore Kailee Bode, Pitcher of the Year in senior Hannah Walliman and Coach of the Year in Marty Jeppsen.

Philomath finished fourth in the Oregon West Conference this past season with a 9-9 record in league play and 10-14 overall. The two teams in the league — Cascade and Stayton — are two of the four teams that have reached the Class 4A semifinals.
