The National Weather Service’s flood warning for the Marys River near Philomath has been extended through Thursday morning.
As of 9 a.m. Wednesday, the Marys River level was at 21.1 feet. The river’s flood stage is 20 feet. Flooding has occurred impacting Grange Hall Road, Fern Road, Chapel Drive and Bellfountain Road.
Sand and sandbags are available to the public 24 hours per day at the two locations in Philomath:
• Public Works, 1515 Willow Lane. The Public Works compound can be accessed via South 15th Street. The sand is piled in an open bay behind the building.
• South 11th Street behind the Philomath Community Library. Residents will need to bring their own shovels.
