Philomath Fire & Rescue’s board of directors will meet at 5 p.m. Monday at Station 201 with an agenda that includes updates on the chief’s contract, policy review and a draft of the fire district’s strategic plan.
The contract item on the June 12 agenda is significant in that it appears the board will keep Chancy Ferguson in place as the permanent fire chief effective July 1. Ferguson had been hired on an interim basis last year following the departure of former fire chief Tom Miller.
Also on the agenda, the board will discuss the district’s options related to banking along with routine reports.
