• 3:10 p.m. — Firefighters were dispatched to provide mutual aid to Corvallis Fire Department, which was obligated to another call, responding with three personnel in an engine. Upon arrival, crews assisted with multiple medical calls in the Corvallis area.

• 4:47 p.m. — Firefighters were dispatched to a smoke investigation on Highway 34 near Greasy Creek Road, responding with nine personnel in an engine, a brush truck and a command vehicle. Upon arrival, no smoke or fire was found.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 19
• 3:15 p.m. — Firefighters were dispatched to a smoke investigation on Kings Valley Highway near Cardwell Hill Drive, responding with seven personnel in an engine, a brush truck and a command vehicle, along with additional resources from the Oregon Department of Forestry. Crews investigated and found no fire or smoke. Command and ODF personnel contacted the person who reported it and checked the area; no incident was found, and ODF planned to continue patrolling the area.
• 4:08 p.m. — While returning from the previous smoke investigation, crews responded to a report of a vehicle fire on Highway 20 at Lily Hill Drive in the Blodgett Summit Rural Fire Protection District. Crews found a van on the side of the road in a large gravel pullout; the vehicle’s owner had removed the burning material and placed it on the gravel. Crews extinguished the burning items and medically evaluated the patient.

THURSDAY, AUG. 20
• 8:54 p.m. — Firefighters were dispatched to a smoke investigation in the 23000 block of Henderson Road, responding with five personnel in an engine and a command vehicle. Crews patrolled up Decker Road but were unable to locate the source.
