SATURDAY, AUG. 31
• 6:32 a.m. — Firefighters responded to a fire alarm in the 4700 block of Bellfountain Road.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 1
• 11:53 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a burning complaint in the vicinity of College Street and North Seventh Street.

MONDAY, SEPT. 2
• 6:30 a.m. — Philomath Fire and Rescue Deputy Fire Chief Rich Saalsaa was deployed as part of an Oregon State Fire Marshal’s Office incident management team to the Copperfield Fire near Chiloquin. Saalsaa served in the role of public information officer.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 3
• Midnight — Firefighters responded to a fire alarm in the 1100 block of Applegate Street.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 4
• 5:35 a.m. — Philomath Fire and Rescue sent four personnel and two apparatus to the Oak Canyon Fire off Highway 216 in Tygh Valley as part of Benton County’s immediate response team. Sent to the fire was a brush truck with Lt. Levi Schell and volunteer Lt. Paula Anderson and a water tender with volunteer firefighter Chris Leonard and resident volunteer Jayden Lindberg. The group was demobilized Sept. 6 from Tygh Valley and sent to the Rail Ridge Fire near Dayville.
• 4:30 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of a gas leak in the 2700 block of Newton Street. Firefighters found nothing on arrival.
• 7:49 p.m. — Firefighters conducted a smoke investigation in the 2100 block of Main Street.
