MONDAY, OCT. 14

•12:33 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a fire alarm in the 700 block of South 16th Street.

• 3:07 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a mutual aid call in the 700 block of Southwest 53rd Street, Corvallis.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to a call at 5:05 a.m. (Main Street).

TUESDAY, OCT. 15

• Midnight — Emergency medical services personnel responded to a one-vehicle crash at the Forest Meadows entrance on North 19th Street that included collisions with a power pole and natural gas metering equipment. The driver, a 41-year-old Philomath, was not injured. He was arrested by Philomath Police on drunken driving and reckless driving charges. See separate story.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 16

• 5:43 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a burning complaint in the 6100 block of Plymouth Drive.

THURSDAY, OCT. 17

• 7 p.m. — Emergency medical services personnel responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on Marys Peak Road. An investigation by the Benton County Sheriff’s Office determined that a 29-year-old Albany man had died by suicide with a gunshot wound. Fire and Rescue’s initial response included an engine crew and duty officer but was canceled en route by BCSO.
