FRIDAY, JULY 12
• 11:25 a.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of a roadside fire along Highway 34. The Oregon Department of Forestry and Philomath Fire and Rescue Chief Chancy Ferguson handled the call. A Philomath brush truck that had been dispatched was canceled en route.
• 2:46 p.m. — Firefighters responded as part of an all-county response to the 25000 block of Smittys Place near Monroe. The call was canceled en route.
• 4:28 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of a large wildland fire in the 27000 block of West Ingram Island Road near Monroe. The call was canceled en route.
Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to a call at 7:38 a.m. (South 18th Street).
SATURDAY, JULY 13
• 12:54 a.m. — Firefighters responded to a burning complaint in the 3000 block of Main Street.
• 4:03 p.m. — Firefighters performed a smoke investigation on Highway 34 about 8 miles southwest of the Highway 20 and 34 intersection.
• 8:54 p.m. — Firefighters responded on a mutual aid call in the 100 block of Southwest 53rd Street in Corvallis.
Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 2:07 p.m. (Rosecrest Drive), 5:24 p.m. (South 13th Street) and 10:42 p.m. (South 13th Street).
SUNDAY, JULY 14
• 11:46 a.m. — Philomath Fire and Rescue Capt. Andy Louden was mobilized to the Falls Fire in Burns as part of an Oregon State Fire Marshal incident management team as a deputy incident commander.
Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 3:37 p.m. (North Ninth Street), 5:50 p.m. (Applegate Street) and 7:49 p.m. (South 11th Street).
MONDAY, JULY 15
• 3:29 p.m. — Philomath Fire and Rescue’s Lt. Lindsay Taylor and crew (Zander Bradford, Layne Converse) were sent from the Larch Creek Fire to the Lone Rock Fire as part of a Benton County Task Force along with firefighters from Corvallis, Adair Village and Monroe.
TUESDAY, JULY 16
• 1:12 a.m. — Firefighters responded on a mutual aid call to the Benton County Fairgrounds.
• 4:52 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a fire alarm in the 1600 block of Applegate Street.
• 9:49 p.m. — Firefighters responded as part of an all-county response to a report of a fire possibly ignited by a lightning strike to the Evergreen Road-Greasy Creek Road area. Firefighters did not find a fire.
• 10:42 p.m. — Firefighters responded as part of an all-county response to a report of a fire in the area of Northwest Fawnee Drive. The call was canceled en route with the reporting fire likely seeing the fire on Woods Creek Road (see next entry).
• 10:54 p.m. — Firefighters responded as part of an all-county response to a 1.6-acre lightning-caused fire on Woods Creek Road. See separate story.
Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 6:57 a.m. (North Ninth Street), 7:19 p.m. (Pheasant Court) and 7:21 p.m. (Bellfountain Road).
WEDNESDAY, JULY 17
• 6:58 a.m. — Firefighters responded to a fire alarm in the 500 block of South 19th Street.
• 11 a.m. — Firefighters stood on fire and medical standby at the site of the Woods Creek Fire.
• 5:45 p.m. — Philomath Fire and Rescue’s Lt. Lindsay Taylor and crew (Zander Bradford, Layne Converse) were sent from the Lone Rock Fire to the NF Owens Fire in Umatilla County as part of a Benton County Task Force along with firefighters from Corvallis, Adair Village and Monroe.
THURSDAY, JULY 18
• 2:12 p.m. — Firefighters performed a smoke investigation in the 24000 block of Evergreen Road.
