FRIDAY, NOV. 1

• 3:12 a.m. — Firefighters went on standby at the Benton County Fairgrounds for the Corvallis Fire Department.

• 5:51 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a mutual aid call on Highway 34 about 6 miles west of Alsea.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 2:24 a.m. (Applegate Street), 6:16 a.m. (North 12th Street), 12:36 p.m. (Main Street), 12:54 p.m. (Marys River Estates Road) and 6 p.m. (North 19th Street).

SATURDAY, NOV. 2

• 6:05 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of a power pole fire at Bellfountain Road and Llewellyn Road. Upon arrival, crews found an oak tree had fallen and taken out a section of high-voltage power lines. In all, it was determined that seven power poles had been impacted along Bellfountain with the northbound lane blocked. Firefighters provided traffic control while the power company sent crews to the site. Once Consumers Power Inc. was on the site, the scene was turned over and units returned to the station.

SUNDAY, NOV. 3

• 9:17 a.m. — Firefighters went on standby at the Benton County Fairgrounds for the Corvallis Fire Department.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to a call at 9:08 a.m. (South 20th Street).

MONDAY, NOV. 4

• 1:12 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire at Knife River’s asphalt, sand and gravel facility. No other information was provided.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to a call at 10:20 p.m. (Fern Road).

TUESDAY, NOV. 5

• 12:09 a.m. — Firefighters went on standby at the Benton County Fairgrounds for the Corvallis Fire Department.

• 6:11 p.m. — Emergency medical services responded to a report of a possible crash on Bellfountain Road near Airport Avenue. Upon arrival, crews found that a passenger car had rolled into a ditch while its driver attempted to push it to the side of the road after becoming disabled because of a mechanical issue. The driver, who was in another car waiting for a tow truck, was not injured.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 4:34 a.m. (North 15th Street) and 8:37 p.m. (Applegate Street).

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 6

• 1:18 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of a possible structure fire at a residence along Highway 34 involving smoke in a laundry room. Crews traced the issue to a baseboard heater that had not been used in years but its breaker was inadvertently turned on. Flammable materials were nearby the heater and a thick layer of dust was burning off. The breaker was switched off and doors opened to air out the room.

THURSDAY, NOV. 7

• 4:50 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a fire alarm in the 6900 block of Southwest West Hills Road.
