Philomath Fire & Rescue’s board of directors plans to meet Monday and the fire chief plans to host a presentation and station tour Tuesday.
The board meeting begins at 3 p.m. Monday at Station 201 with an agenda that includes a revised service contract with the Hoskins-Kings Valley Rural Fire Protection District and various budget-related actions, including a recommended cost-of-living raise for the fire chief, review of the budget calendar and what to do with a Special Districts Association of Oregon severance reimbursement payment in the amount of $10,000.
The board will also consider the possible sale or lease of the district’s Light Rescue 224 vehicle to the Dallas-based Southwest Polk Fire District, take a look at the latest cybersecurity information and possibly take a vote on final reading of a job description bundle.
The fire station is located at 1035 Main St. The meeting can also be accessed through Zoom (see the agenda for instructions).
On Tuesday beginning at 6:30 p.m., also at Station 201, Fire Chief Chancy Ferguson will lead a presentation and tour. The public is invited to come and learn more about the local fire district.
