Philomath Rotary Club Meeting

All Rotarians and Philomath Community members,
Please come to the Philomath Rotary Club meeting on September 15 at noon in the fellowship hall of the Peace Lutheran Church. The first part will be introductions and announcements.
The main presentation will be “Benton County Emergency Management Volunteer Corps” by Chelsea Chytka, Benton County Emergency Management Coordinator. The presentation is to introduce the Philomath Community members to the Benton County Emergency Management Volunteer Corps (EMVC), and explain how trained volunteers support the community before, during, and after emergencies, and highlight the many ways residents can contribute based on their interests, skills, and abilities. The attendees will have a better understanding of why volunteers are essential when emergency services are overwhelmed; how the EMVC supports call centers operations, sheltering, reunification, damage assessment, emergency preparedness education, and other response activities; and how they can strengthen community resilience by becoming better prepared, sharing information, partnering with the program, or volunteering.
We hope you can attend and please remember lunch will be provided. Please RSVP to this invite or any Philomath Rotarian if you will be attending so we can plan on the number of meals.
