Philomath’s Music in the Park series wraps up its season Sunday with a performance by the DTW Lite Trio, a smaller offshoot of the popular DTW Band that still brings plenty of energy to the stage.
The concert runs from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 23 at Philomath City Park in the gazebo area near Randy Kugler Community Ha..
This year’s finale is a joint effort between the Philomath Park Advisory Board and the Philomath Area Chamber of Commerce, which is holding its Business After Hours gathering at the same event.
The DTW Lite Trio plays jazz and funk with what the band describes as “free-range, organic vibes.” The full-sized DTW Band has built a following across the region and organizers say the trio lineup delivers a similarly big sound.
Maxtivity will be on hand offering free family-friendly activities and Mud Oven Pizza will be selling wood-fired pizza. Hot dogs and pulled pork sandwiches will also be available as part of the Business After Hours gathering.
As with previous Music in the Park events, alcohol is not permitted. Admission is free, and donations are welcome for the Philomath Performing Arts Benefit Fund, which supports Philomath students.
More information is available on the city’s Music in the Park page.
