The Philomath Planning Commission plans to meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall with an agenda that features the next steps involved with the group’s updates related to city development code as well as a public hearing and decision on a variance application for a property on Fawn Lane.

The process of updating development code dates back to April. Commissioners are expected to take a look at proposed code’s layout, application types and review procedures at the meeting.

The variance application involves plans for the construction of a home to adjust front-yard setbacks because of excessive sloping along a portion of the property. City staff recommends approval.

Also at the meeting, the commission will elect a chair and vice chair for 2024. In addition, the meeting agenda includes time for announcements and staff updates.

For those not attending in person at City Hall, the meeting is scheduled to be livestreamed on the city’s YouTube channel.
