The Benton County Health Department announced plans for a community vaccination event on Friday, Nov. 18, in Philomath. Vaccines for everyone ages 6 months and older and bivalent boosters for ages 5 and older will be available at the clinic, which is scheduled to run from 4-7 p.m. at Clemens Primary School.

Vaccines are available while supplies last. No appointment is needed. The flu vaccine is not available at the event.

The Benton County Health Department maintains a web page with up-to-date information on upcoming vaccination events.

In addition to the Philomath clinic, four others are scheduled for neighboring Corvallis, including Nov. 15-17 at the Benton County Event Center and Fairgrounds Auditorium (4:30-8 p.m.), Nov. 15-17 at the Oregon State University Memorial Union (noon-4 p.m.), Nov. 19 at Lincoln Elementary School (1-5 p.m.) and Nov. 20 at the Boys and Girls Club of Corvallis (1-5 p.m.).

All vaccination events require masks, are wheelchair accessible and have interpretation services available. Those attending are asked to bring vaccination cards (or a record that shows previous doses). There are options for those who lost their vaccination card.

The COVID-19 vaccine is free and available to all eligible people. Identification or insurance does not need to be presented to be vaccinated. The vaccinations are open to anyone, not just Oregon residents. Consent of a parent or legal guardian is required for children under the age of 15 (forms are available at all events).
