Benton County’s “Talk Trash” workgroup published its final report and will accept public comments through an online survey until May 26.
The county program was organized to look at the future of sustainable materials management, solid waste and disposal in Benton County.
The workgroup formally vetted 124 findings and 94 recommendations for the Benton County Board of Commissioners to consider, county officials said.
“Overall, the workgroup achieved 94% agreement on the 218 findings and recommendations to support the decision-making process for the Sustainable Materials Management Plan, landfill size-capacity-longevity-legal issues including past land-use application conditions and community education and public outreach,” the county reported.
The online survey covers various topics based on the workgroup’s recommendations.
