The Benton County Sheriff’s Office plans to host drop-in appointments to renew Benton County concealed handgun licenses on three upcoming Fridays, the agency announced.
Drop-in appointments will be available Jan. 20, Jan. 27 and Feb. 10 from 9 a.m.-noon.
Officials said those planning to attend need to bring all completed and necessary documents, including a completed application for renewal, Benton County concealed handgun license, driver’s license or other proof of Benton County residency, and $75 for the renewal fee (all forms of payment are accepted except American Express cards).
Applications for renewal can be found online at the county’s website or picked up in advance from the Benton County Sheriff’s Office at 180 NW 5th St., in Corvallis.
Those who already have a scheduled appointment for renewal are still eligible to attend one of the drop-in days to renew. In those cases, the county asks the individuals to cancel a previously scheduled appointment. If unable to attend one of the three drop-in times, those seeking renewal can keep their currently scheduled appointment or schedule a new one. BCSO will not be accepting transfer or original applications during the announced dates and times.
