The Philomath City Council plans to meet at 7 p.m. Monday at City Hall to tackle an agenda that includes a vote on the first reading of an ordinance to annex 9.32 acres on North 19th Street into the city.

Northernwood LLC plans to build an office and warehouse campus that could eventually have as many as 11 buildings. The City Council held a June 30 public hearing on the Northernwood application and councilors moved it forward to the ordinance stage.

The meeting will open with a public hearing on a housing needs analysis, a study that is part of the city’s Comprehensive Plan update process. The analysis determines whether the city has enough land to accommodate 20 years of population and housing growth.

The agenda also includes:

• A vote on an engineer’s report for the proposed North 11th Street Local Improvement District and to schedule a public hearing.

• A vote on recommended changes to the city manager evaluation provided by the Finance Administration Committee.

• Decisions on the city’s social service funding appropriations for 2021-22.

City meetings are returning to City Hall beginning with the July 12 council meeting. Spectators still have the option of viewing meetings via the city’s Facebook page and providing comments through the Zoon online platform (contact the city recorder’s office for log-in information).

Prior to the regular meeting, councilors are scheduled to meet for a work session at 5:30 p.m. for Strategic Plan review work.
