The Amarok Society’s Gem Munro will give a presentation on the organization he co-founded at the Philomath Rotary Club meeting at noon Tuesday in Peace Lutheran Church’s Fellowship Hall.

The meeting is open to the public. Lunch will be provided but for meal-planning purposes, organizers are asking attendees to RSVP via email to rotaryfred@hotmail.com).
Munro, an international speaker and noted author, will share details about the work that’s being done by the Canadian-based Amarok Society, which helps educate disadvantaged children through the charity’s mission of teaching mothers. The organization, founded in 1992 by Tanyss and Gem Munro, operates in Asia and Africa, including Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nigeria.
The organization receives significant support from Rotary clubs.
Also at the meeting, Rebecca Sweet will be recognized as Philomath Middle School’s Student of the Month.
