The Philomath City Council needs to fill a vacant position on the Planning Commission and invites residents to submit an application to be considered for the seat.
The council accepted the resignation of Joey McGlinchy during its April 12 meeting. The person appointed to the position would serve out the remainder of McGlinchy’s term, which expires on Dec. 31, 2024.
To be eligible for the position, applicants must be a registered voter and reside within the city limits or the city’s urban growth boundary. The deadline to submit applications is June 1.
The City Council will interview applicants and make a selection at its June 14 meeting.
For those interested, contact City Recorder Ruth Post at City Hall, 980 Applegate St., or by calling 541-929-6148 for more information or to receive an application form. Application forms are also available on the city’s website.
