The Philomath Finance and Administration Committee will review building permit and land-use planning fees during its meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at City Hall.
The proposed building permit rates represent an increase of 12% to electrical, mechanical and plumbing fees. The cost of a permit for a typical single-family residence would go up from $4,358.71 to $4,564.21. Various increases related to land-use application fees are also proposed.
According to the meeting agenda, the committee will also discuss revamping the city’s Façade Improvement Program to include forgivable loans.
Committee members include city councilors Jessica Andrade and Teresa Nielson and Mayor Chas Jones.
The May 1 meeting will be live-streamed on the city’s YouTube channel.
