The city of Philomath plans to begin a crack-sealing project on several streets in town Monday, the Public Works Department announced. The city anticipates the work to be finished by the end of the week.
The road repair process involves the hot pouring of petroleum-based pavement crack and joint sealant. Crack sealing is done usually during the summer months, weather permitting.
Streets and sidewalks are not closed during work but the city said on-street parking will be prohibited. Temporary signs will be posted in advance to allow the contractor full access to the work area from curb to curb.
Streets scheduled for the project:
- Canberra Drive
- Adelaide Drive
- Topaz Street from Dampier Drive to Amethyst Avenue
- Tasman Place
- Pioneer Street from Seventh Street to Adelaide Drive
- 11th Street from Pioneer Street to Pippa Lane
- Ninth Street from Applegate Street to Main Street
