The Philomath City Council’s agenda for this coming Monday’s regular meeting includes a presentation on Benton County’s proposed Justice System Improvement Program.

A somewhat lighter-than-usual agenda also includes a vote on a streetscapes project communication plan, and discussions about vacancies on the Inclusivity Committee and the Tree Board.

The Oct. 10 meeting begins at 7 p.m. and for those not attending in person at City Hall, it will also be livestreamed on the city’s YouTube channel.

The council is also scheduled to vote on resolutions declaring Oct. 10 as Indigenous Peoples’ Day and Nov. 11 as Veterans Day, the latter to include discussion about a Nov. 9 event that’s scheduled to take place called “Jumping Into the Fire.”

The meeting will include various reports from councilors, boards, commissions, committees, council liaisons and staff.

The agenda shows that the council plans to adjourn into executive session as allowed by state statute to discuss real property transactions.
