The Philomath School Board plans to meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in Philomath High School’s Community Conference Room for its regular monthly meeting with an agenda that includes discussions on cellphones in school, impacts from nearby work on 19th Street and a proposed 2025-26 school calendar.

In addition, the board will make board liaison assignments, vote on a budget calendar and local service plan with the Linn Benton Lincoln Education Service District, and go through second-reading votes on several policy updates. 

Also on the agenda for the Jan. 9 meeting, the board will vote on a resolution related to the rights of undocumented students and protocols for Immigration and Customs Enforcement access to schools.

Philomath High School administration is scheduled to speak during the reports section of the meeting. Also included are opportunities for reports from the school superintendent, business manager, student government and employee associations.

The board is scheduled to begin the evening at 6:30 p.m. in executive session as allowed by law.
