The Philomath High School boys tennis team lost on the road Tuesday to Cascade, 8-0.
The Cougars swept the six matches that were played on the court and added in two more wins on forfeits. At No. 1 singles, Philomath’s Lane Schell pushed Cascade’s Andrew Suelzle in the second set but came up short in the end by a 6-0, 6-4 margin.
The No. 1 doubles team of Jayden Pope and Kayden Reynolds were defeated, 6-0, 6-1.
Philomath is scheduled to play at home at 4 p.m. Wednesday with a visit from Blanchet Catholic.
