Philomath High School’s softball team dropped a 10-0 game Monday afternoon at Cascade to fall to 3-12 overall, 2-4 in the Oregon West Conference.
Cascade, which has beaten the Warriors twice this season on the 10-run rule, improved to 4-2 in league play, 7-4 overall, in an effort to stay within striking distance of Stayton in the conference standings.
Philomath is scheduled to hit the field again Wednesday with a 4:30 p.m. home game against first-place Stayton, winners of seven straight. The Warriors are also slated to play Thursday with a trip to the coast to face Newport.
Statistics from the game are not available because of a glitch with the team’s digital scorebook.
