Philomath Music in the Park’s series continues Wednesday at 6 p.m. with a performance at Philomath City Park by the Brutal Bridges Band.
The free concerts are staged in the Randy Kugler Community Hall and gazebo area. Those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. The Philomath Lions Club will be on site for concessions.
The Brutal Bridges Band has been described as blending folk ballads with rockabilly, funk, twang and “grass‑tinged” styles — bringing a vibrant mix of acoustic-based storytelling and energetic rhythms.
Band members include lead singers and songwriters Karen DeWolfe and AJ Kriz on guitar, Tim Schrautemeier on drums, Chuck Forbes on electric guitar, Eric Henry on banjo and pedal steel, and Carl Swanson on bass. The band released albums of original material in 2012, 2014 and 2024.
Performances continue into September on the second Wednesdays and fourth Sundays. Remaining concerts include DRTR (July 27), Family Tradition (Aug. 13), The Nettles (Aug. 24) and Blood on the Plow (Sept. 10).
